VP of Human Resources

Location: Greenville, SC

As the VP of Human Resources with our client, you will be developing and managing both new and existing systems and programs for the human resources department. This will include creation and enhancement of processes, systems, and direct management and execution of employee focused development and feedback programs. This individual will play a large role in managing the company’s team to success. In addition, creating feedback and support loops for the executive, management, and production teams will be critical. As the VP of Human Resources, you will be a people manager first.

  • Under the direction of the executive team, serve as a strategic partner in leading the talent acquisition, onboarding, career planning, performance, payroll/benefits and maximizing long-term and sustainable value for all employees.
  • Develop, continually refine, and manage proactive career planning and performance evaluation programs, which instill the company’s values and leads to a deeper pool of satisfied employees.
  • Hire talent, lead onboarding of new team members, and provide meaningful feedback to support team success and growth.
  • Be the go-to manager by leading organizational development and change management initiatives by helping employees develop both soft and leadership/management skills necessary for success. When the going gets tough, you will be the escalation point for any internal issues that arise by providing guidance and training to the team for resolution.
  • Serve as an active participant in the development of the organization regarding career paths, organizational charts, reporting and meeting enhancements, and ensuring employee feedback is received and acted upon to improve employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Spearhead all HR department duties including administration of payroll and benefits, hiring and onboarding employment requirements, department recording and reporting management, as well as the company’s outreach and employment branding efforts.

Qualifications

  • Must possess superior interpersonal, verbal, organizational skills.
  • Hands-on leadership style, motivated to mentor and coach team members through career development and employee relations initiatives.
  • Proven track record of developing or running a successful talent acquisition strategy and successfully hiring and onboarding new team members.
  • Someone who takes the initiative and does not need a lot of direction and can be resourceful.
  • Five or more years of Human Resource experience and leadership.  
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • SHRM certification preferred, not required.
