Essential Job Functions
As a Mortgage Sales Executive for our client, your primary responsibility is sales—originating high-quality residential mortgage loans through both company-provided leads and your own network of referral partners and past clients. You’ll be supported by an experienced back-office team that handles processing, underwriting coordination, and closing, so you can focus on what you do best: building relationships and closing deals.
You will be expected to qualify borrowers, present tailored financing solutions, and guide them from initial contact through funding. This role is critical to driving growth within the company’s lending division and requires a strong knowledge of loan products, a high-performance sales mindset, and the ability to consistently produce results in a fast-paced environment.
Position Responsibilities
- Drive mortgage loan production through both company-provided leads and self-sourced business, including referral partners and personal networks.
- Engage with prospective borrowers through proactive outreach, inbound inquiries, and consistent follow-up to build a strong sales pipeline.
- Pre-qualify applicants by analyzing income, credit, and asset documentation to match them with suitable loan programs.
- Present tailored loan solutions that align with client needs, financial goals, and current market offerings.
- Collaborate closely with the internal processing and underwriting teams to ensure an efficient, timely loan closing process.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and real estate partners, providing updates and delivering a high-touch service experience.
- Accurately track, manage, and report on loan activity using the company’s CRM and loan origination systems.
- Stay current with mortgage lending guidelines, investor requirements, and industry trends to remain competitive in the marketplace.
Position Qualifications
- Proven track record of high-level production in residential mortgage lending.
- Minimum 5 years of experience originating mortgage loans, with an emphasis on outbound sales and referral-based business development.
- Deep understanding of real estate investment loan products, including fix and flip, rental (DSCR), multifamily, and other non-QM programs.
- Strong sales drive with a hunter mentality, paired with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility quickly.
- Highly organized and capable of managing a fast-paced pipeline with multiple deals in progress.
