Essential Job Functions
As the VP of Sales – Real Estate Investment Loans, your primary responsibility is to lead loan origination efforts and drive new business across the country. You will serve as a key revenue driver by originating high-quality loans for real estate investors and establishing a scalable network of borrower relationships.
You’ll source business from a combination of company-generated leads, referral partners, and your existing network. Additionally, you will guide borrowers through the early stages of the loan process, ensuring timely application submission and collaboration with internal teams to facilitate efficient closings.
Position Responsibilities
- Originate loans for real estate investors, including Fix & Flip, DSCR, New Construction, Bridge, and Build-to-Rent projects
- Build and manage a national pipeline of borrowers through self-sourced and company-provided opportunities
- Conduct borrower consultations and pre-qualify based on creditworthiness, DSCR analysis, and property metrics
- Provide tailored financing solutions and educate borrowers on the benefits and structure of loan products
- Act as a senior liaison between the lending team and real estate professionals, brokers, and investor networks
- Collaborate with internal operations and underwriting to ensure a seamless and timely closing process
- Track all sales and loan activity using internal CRM and LOS systems
- Maintain a pulse on lending guidelines, investor demand, and industry trends to enhance sales performance
Position Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in private lending, DSCR, or business-purpose loan origination
- Demonstrated success generating and closing real estate investment loans (fix & flip, rental, bridge, etc.)
- Strong understanding of investor needs, DSCR metrics, and value-add strategies
- Proven ability to source, build, and manage borrower relationships across multiple markets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong negotiation instincts
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and results-driven work ethic
- NMLS licensing and/or nationwide licensing a plus
